About Faridpur

Faridpur (  ফরিদপুর  )  is a district under Dhaka Division. It is in central of Bangladesh. It is situated on the banks of the Padma River. The previous name was “Fatehabad”. present Faridpur was named after the great Sufi saint “Shah Sheikh Fariduddin” in the 12Th century. The area is 2052.86 Sq Km.
