History of Baitul Mukarram Mosque

The mosque is the national mosque in Bangladesh. It is located in the center of Dhaka city. It is one of the most beautiful mosques in the world. The structure has a unique architectural design. The mosque can accommodate around 40,000 people. It is a symbol of Islamic architecture in Bangladesh. It took eight years to complete the construction of the mosque. The height of the mosque is 99 feet. A lot of people visit the mosque during the month of Ramadan. In the two Eid days, the mosque becomes overcrowded. Baitul Mukarram is located in Dhaka. The mosque is about 17.6 kilometers away from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. It may take around 39 minutes without any traffic via the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. The place is 2.8 kilometers away from the Saidabad bus station. It will take only 9 minutes to reach the mosque from Saidabad. The mosque is 11.3 kilometers away from Gabtoli bus terminal. It may take about 33 minutes to reach the mosque from the Gabtoli terminal.
